Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of the Astera app and website ("Astera", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using Astera, you agree to them. If you don't agree, don't use Astera.
1. Who can use Astera
You must be at least 13 years old (or the higher minimum age required in your country) to use Astera. If you're under 18, you need permission from a parent or guardian, including for any purchase.
2. Your account
Keep your login credentials to yourself — you're responsible for what happens on your account. Give us accurate information and keep it current. We may suspend or terminate accounts that break these terms, abuse other users or artists, or engage in fraud.
3. Cards and the gacha
- Astera cards are limited, numbered digital collectibles issued by Astera in collaboration with artists. Cards are won on the gacha: a spin buys one card drawn at random from a drop's remaining run. Edition sizes are shown on every drop; which card a spin delivers is random.
- Owning a card gives you a personal, non-commercial license to view, display, and share it (including its certificate) through the features Astera provides. It does not transfer copyright or any other intellectual-property right in the underlying artwork, which remains with the artist and/or Astera.
- Cards have no monetary value, are not an investment, and are not redeemable for cash. Cards obtained through fraud (including reversed payments) may be revoked.
4. Purchases
Prices are shown before you confirm any purchase. Spins deliver digital goods instantly and are non-refundable once completed, except as described in our Order Policies or where the law says otherwise. Purchases on iOS are billed by Apple and subject to Apple's terms; refunds for those go through Apple.
5. Chats and your content
Cards can unlock fan group chats and other community features. You keep ownership of what you post, and you give us the license needed to host and display it inside Astera. Don't post anything illegal, hateful, harassing, sexually explicit, or that infringes someone else's rights — we may remove content and restrict accounts that do. Treat artists and other fans with respect.
6. Artists
Artists on Astera are independent — they are not our employees, and drop schedules and content are ultimately theirs. Separate terms apply to artist accounts.
7. What you may not do
- Buy, sell, or transfer accounts or cards outside features Astera provides.
- Use bots, scripts, or exploits to spin, collect, or scrape.
- Reverse engineer, copy, or interfere with the service.
- Impersonate any person, artist, or Astera itself.
8. Availability and changes
Astera is provided "as is". We work hard to keep it running, but we don't promise uninterrupted availability, and features may change or be discontinued. We may update these terms; if a change is material, we'll notify you in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use Astera after that means you accept the updated terms.
9. Liability
To the maximum extent allowed by law, we're not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or USD 100. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.
10. Termination
You can stop using Astera and delete your account at any time in Settings. If your account is terminated for breach of these terms, licenses to your cards end with it; otherwise deletion is handled as described in the Privacy Policy.
